Closed on Holidays

The Food Pantry ministry calls upon the entire parish to help collect, sort and store the food in the pantry and assist in the distribution. For questions or to volunteer even a few hours a month, please contact Jenny Swope at or call the parish office.

The Help and Hope Fund mission is to administer direct aid to those who lack food, shelter or other necessities for their dignity and survival. The program works in conjunction with Wood County Area Ministries. The Fund supports our parish Food Pantry and the St. Louis Helping Hands Kitchen in East Toledo, where parishioners serve a meal each month.

In December 2017, St. Aloysius food pantry was the recipient of the Bowling Green Meijer Simply Give program. Thanks to our parishioners, school and the community we were just presented with gift cards totaling $19,140 for us to use in our food pantry.

From Jan. 1 – Dec. 31, 2017 our pantry provided food for 1,344 households with 3,722 people including 1,186 children. St. Al’s spent $5,084.22 from our Help & Hope Fund for food for our Food Pantry. That is in addition to over $26,000 we received from the 2016 Meijer Simply Give program. Thank you for your generosity in helping feed those suffering from hunger in our own community.
