CYO FOOTBALL PROGRAM

CYO FootballFootball is open to boys, 5th through 8th grade. Two teams are formed, 5/6th and 7/8th grade. The teams are a combination of St. Al’s and St. Rose athletes, playing under the name of St. Rose. Registration is held in April. Practices start late August and games are played on the weekends, September through Mid-November.

Teams practice 3 times a week in Perrysburg. The program is designed to teach the players the fundamentals, all skill levels are welcome. CYO football provides a unique opportunity to play a competitive team sport. 

Fall 2010 Season

Boys entering the 5th through 8th grades who are parishioners or students of St. Rose, St. Al's, All Saints, St. Thomas More, St. Louis (Custar) or Blessed John are invited to join our winning tradition and sign up to play football for St. Rose.  As part of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) of Toledo, the St. Rose Football program is designed to be a character builder for the boys with an overriding influence on good sportsmanship, team building, and Christianity.  For additional information and forms please visit the CYO website at cyss.org.  Here's a little bit more information on the St. Rose Football program:  Practice will be held at Municipal Park in Perrysburg (Elm Street). Games are played at Monsignor Schmit CYO Athletic Complex on Holland Sylvania Rd. Game Rules: All play rule for every grade.  Equipment: Updated and issued to every boy (Socks to Helmets); Fees: $100 covers all fees and equipment; Coaches: Experienced coaches and players certified by the league.
