CYO CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAM
Cross
Country is open to girls & boys, K through 8th grade.
Registration
is held in April. Practices start in late August and 5 meets are held
on Saturdays, September through mid-October.
The team typically
practices twice a week. The program is designed to teach the runners
the fundamentals, all skill levels are welcome. CYO cross country
provides a unique opportunity to compete both as an individual and as a
team. The coaching staff is made up of college students and parents.
Informal Fun Runs are held in the summer.
Members of the St. Aloysius Cross Country program ran at the Glass City Kids Marathon. Micheala Urban, Josie Genson, and Katarina Genson all participated and helped raise money for Autism Speaks. Katarina Genson was the champion in the girls under 12 division.

We are glad to have you as part of the St. Aloysius Cross Country Family for the 2010 season! This program has a long tradition of promoting fun, fitness and faith to the youth of our community. Thanks to all of you for joining us on this important mission.
The cross country program is subdivided into four teams; pee wee (Kindergarten and first grade- ½ mile), minor (second and third grades- ¾ mile), cadets (4th, 5th, and 6th grades- 1 mile), and juniors (7th and 8th grades- 2 miles).
